Welcome to another edition of “Top 3 Fridays”. Today I’m going to be talking about why an article syndication campaign is absolutely vital to any SEO campaign.

In my opinion, having a high level, off-site, article campaign is a vital aspect of SEO. It’s not an optional aspect because it is part of the actual SEO process. Creating quality content that is relevant to your industry and then dispersing it to various websites across the net with links back to your site is of the utmost importance.

1.       Back Linking

The primary importance of an article syndication campaign is that, if done properly, the articles you publish to article platform sites will all have links pointing back to your site. As we all know, the acquisition of quality back links is arguable the most important aspect of off-page SEO.

The beauty of this type of back link is as follows:

A.      You have an article written and optimized for a certain keyword.

B.      That article is published to a high quality and search engine respected article syndication site.

C.      That article has a link back to your site. The link’s anchor text is optimized for the same keyword that the article is optimized for.

D.      The link points back to the exact page on your website that is optimized for the same keyphrase as the article and the anchor text in the back link.

Need I say more?

2.       The Articles Rank Well

If the article campaign is properly executed, each article should end up ranking very well for the keyphrase it has been optimized for. I have seen articles rank in the top 10 of Google SERPS within 7 days of it being published to the article site.

What does this mean for you?

This means that you are taking up more real estate within the SERPS. When you take up more real estate, you acquire more traffic.

3.       Industry Authority

The more content you have online in as many different places as possible, the more authority you and your site gain.

If you think about how companies brands, this idea should be easy to understand. Companies build brands by positioning themselves in front of their target demographic as often as possible. They also portray themselves as the expert in their industry. They make themselves desirable.

The more time spent in developing a larger web presence, the better your site is going to rank and the more conversions your site is going to deliver.

Please have an awesome and safe weekend!
